Kitchen Transformation ~ Rustoleum Kitchen Cabinet and Countertop Transformation

We bought our house six years ago.  We just liked the house since it had a lot of charm and four bedrooms, perfect for our growing family, it is also easy to add an addition.  Every since we moved in I have had plans on how to remodel this house and what the addition will look like.  The huge yard, the apartment above the garage and being three blocks from the downtown area are the main reasons why we bought this house.  I have been frustrated with the layout for years now, the “oldness” and the random problems we experience.  After photographing the house a few months ago and feeling uninspired I decided I was making changes.  We keep not making changes because we wanted the addition.  Well who knows when we can do the addition we want so I am making this house a home now.  I started with the outdated country kitchen.  Blue countertops with wood edges, honey brown cabinets, gold hinges and outdated faucet.  I used Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations and Rustoleum Countertop Transformations.  I am IN LOVE with the results (wish I could afford new appliances).  I thought I would have to invest thousands of dollars to get a look like this.  Total spent on everything…right around $500.  I would prefer to get a new kitchen, but for now this will definitely do!  I will do another post with the details of everything I did and pointers if I were to do it again but here are the before and afters…
